20 injured as house collapses during wedding ceremony in IIOJK’s Reasi
Jammu: At least 20 people were injured when a mud house collapsed during a wedding ceremony in Reasi district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the house of Muhammad Ishaq collapsed during a wedding ceremony in Malaikot village of Mehor tehsil of the district.
A large number of neighbours and relatives were present at the ceremony. According to reports, the mud house collapsed due to the weight of the people inside the building, which buried several guests under the debris.
The collapse of the house spread panic. Rescue workers said that at least 20 people were injured in the incident and were immediately shifted to the community health center.
Most of the injured have been discharged after medical assistance, while about seven injured are still undergoing treatment.
Two cattle were also killed in the incident.
