Mirwaiz pays glowing tributes to Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA)
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference senior leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid glowing tributes to Ameer-ul-Momineen Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) on his martyrdom anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) was considered one of the greatest thinkers, reformers and champions of justice not only in Islamic history but also in the entire history of humanity.
He said Hazrat Umar Farooq’s legacy of just governance, accountability, compassion and public service is still a beacon of light for generations of societies and leaders.
Mirwaiz said that Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA), who was the second Caliph of Islam, established such enduring principles of governance that were based on justice, equality and public welfare. Due to his unwavering commitment to truth and justice, he earned the title of Al-Farooq, meaning the one who distinguishes between right and wrong, he added.
Mirwaiz said the blessed life of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) is a timeless example of moral courage, humility and public service, which teaches us that true leadership lies not in the display of power but in honesty, justice and service to humanity.
Mirwaiz urged the younger generation to study the life, character and governance of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) and seek guidance from him.
