UP bulldozers target Muslim sites, mazar in Agra, Madrasa in Ghaziabad razed

New Delhi: Authorities demolished a decades-old mazar on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Agra and Madrasa Misbah-ul-Uloom in Ghaziabad’s Masuri area.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the Agra mazar demolition was carried out under heavy police deployment and traffic diversion. Local Muslims termed it as selective targeting, saying other religious structures on the same road were spared.

Mazar management said “local officers follow orders from above” and left the matter to Allah.

In Ghaziabad, revenue and police officials used bulldozers to raze the madrasa, claiming it stood on public pathway land worth Rs 1 crore.

Residents expressed fear that madrasas, mosques and mazars are being disproportionately targeted amid heightened tensions after the Surya Pratap Chauhan murder case. Both demolitions come amid a wider pattern of bulldozer actions against Muslim religious structures in UP.
