Congress leader punctures BJP’s ‘all is well’ claim in IIOJK

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Congress Working President Raman Bhalla has punctured the BJP’s claims of normalcy and development in the territory, saying people continue to grapple with unemployment, inflation and crumbling civic infrastructure.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Bhalla made the remarks during a grassroots outreach programme in Narwal Pain, where he interacted with residents, youth, women, traders and local representatives to assess public grievances.

Addressing the gathering, Bhalla said the “all is ok” narrative being projected by the BJP does not reflect ground realities. He said that unemployment, rising prices, inadequate civic amenities and delays in public service delivery have emerged as major concerns affecting daily life.

“Thousands of educated young men and women are awaiting recruitment in various government departments while private-sector investment remains limited. Prolonged delays in filling vacancies have generated frustration among aspiring candidates,” Bhalla said.

Referring to inflation, he said increasing prices of essential commodities, cooking gas, electricity, healthcare and education have placed an enormous burden on households. “Middle-class families, daily wage earners and the poor are finding it increasingly difficult to manage routine expenses,” he added.

Bhalla also raised concerns over damaged roads, poor drainage, waterlogging, irregular drinking water supply, inadequate sanitation and insufficient street lighting in both urban and rural areas.
