NIA propaganda exposes intelligence failure as world lauds Pakistan’s peace role

Srinagar): At a time when the international community is widely appreciating Pakistan’s constructive diplomatic role in brokering the Iran-US peace process, India’s National Investigation Agency (NIA) has once again resorted to its familiar anti-Pakistan propaganda, inadvertently exposing the total collapse of its intelligence apparatus in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the chargesheet related to the April 2025 Pahalgam attack, cross-border drones allegedly delivered arms deep inside Baramulla district. The report also cited a sharp decline in human intelligence (HUMINT) between 2022 and 2024 that supposedly allowed the so-called “terror cell” to operate freely. The NIA claims handlers have now shifted to using UAVs instead of traditional infiltration routes.

Critics and independent observers have strongly questioned the timing and credibility of this narrative. They argue that the ease with which drones allegedly penetrated multiple layers of security — despite the presence of over one million Indian troops and heavy surveillance — raises serious doubts. Many see the chargesheet as a desperate attempt by New Delhi to divert attention from the growing global appreciation for Pakistan’s mediatory role in the Iran-US ceasefire.

The over-reliance on technical surveillance coupled with the deliberate alienation of local communities, especially Gujjar and Bakerwal tribes — who traditionally served as vital sources of ground intelligence in the Pir Panjal region — has created a dangerous intelligence vacuum. Years of repression, fake encounters, and heavy militarization have destroyed whatever trust remained between the occupying forces and the local population.

Analysts believe the Pahalgam incident bears clear hallmarks of a false flag operation, designed to justify continued military repression, impose fresh restrictions on the Kashmiri people, and defame the genuine freedom movement while shifting blame onto Pakistan.

This latest propaganda move once again proves that India cannot digest Pakistan’s rising diplomatic stature on the global stage and continues to use baseless allegations to hide its own failures and ongoing atrocities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
