CIK raids multiple locations across IIOJK under draconian UAPA, seizes digital devices

Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) today conducted raids and search operations at multiple locations across in the territory, seizing documents and digital devices.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a CIK team raided the residence of Riyaz Ahmad Beigh in Dalal Mohalla, Maharaj Ganj area of Srinagar. Another team, led by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, searched the house of Syed Qalandar Shah in Lar area of Ganderbal district, while a separate raided at the residence of Gulzar Ahmad Rather, a mosque Imam in the Nowgam area of Islamabad district.
The raids and searches were carried out under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). During the operations, CIK personnel seized property documents, computers, laptops, mobile phones and other digital devices from the targeted houses. Further details are awaited.
It is pertinent to mention that raids by Indian forces and various investigating agencies on the homes of pro-freedom Kashmiris have become a routine feature in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Conducted under various pretexts, these operations are aimed at intimidating and victimizing Kashmiris for opposing India’s illegal occupation and creating an atmosphere of fear to force them to abandon the ongoing freedom movement.
