Earthquake tremors felt in IIOJK

Srinagar : Mild tremors were felt across several parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir after a 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the mild tremors were felt across several parts of the territory late Wednesday night. According to seismic data, the epicentre was located at 36.53°N latitude and 70.47°E longitude in Afghanistan’s Hindu Kush region, at a depth of 185 kilometres.
The tremors, though mild, were felt in parts of the Kashmir Valley and the Jammu region, prompting many residents to briefly move outdoors as a precaution.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property, while further details, if any, are awaited, local officials said.
