Indian channel Sun TV network hacked, Pakistani flag banner displayed on screen
Islamabad: India’s Sun TV network was hacked by hackers, its broadcasts were suspended and the cyber attackers also gained access to the network’s internal broadcast management portal.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the cyber attack resulted in the broadcasts of various Sun TV television channels being temporarily affected and changed. The hackers stopped the broadcasts and displayed the Pakistani flag and Pakistan Hamesha Zindabad banners on the screen.
In a series of attacks, hackers also locked 1,800 domain systems with another cyber attack called ransomware.
According to experts, these hacking incidents raise serious questions about India’s high-profile claims of cyber security and strong digital security.
Cyber attacks on important channels of India, which claims to be an IT power, have exposed the weaknesses of its digital defence. These cyber attacks expose serious administrative and technical shortcomings in the Indian security system, especially in the IT sector.
