DFP pays tribute to Burhan Wani, all Kashmiri martyrs

Srinagar: The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party has paid profound tribute to popular youth leader Burhan Muzaffar Wani and all martyrs of occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the 10th anniversary of his martyrdom.
According to Kashmir Media Service, DFP Spokesperson Advocate Arshad Iqbal said Burhan Wani became a symbol of courage and resilience for Kashmiri youth and his sacrifice drew international attention to the unresolved Jammu and Kashmir dispute. He said thousands of Kashmiris have laid down their lives over the past decades, which serves as a reminder that the dispute remains an unresolved international issue requiring a peaceful settlement in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and relevant UN resolutions.
The spokesperson reaffirmed DFP’s commitment to a peaceful, democratic and political struggle for the legitimate rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the international community and global human rights organizations to take meaningful steps to protect human rights in IIOJK and facilitate a just resolution of the dispute.
He prayed for the exalted status of all martyrs, speedy recovery of the injured, release of all political detainees, and a just and dignified future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
