Earthquake tremors felt in IIOJK

Srinagar:Strong earthquake tremors were felt across several parts of the Kashmir Valley in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, triggering brief panic among residents.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the tremors were felt at around 2 a.m. in multiple districts of the territory, prompting residents to rush out of their homes and buildings as a precaution. There were, however, no immediate reports of any casualties or damage to property.
Kashmir lies in a highly active seismic zone, and such tremors are periodically felt due to tectonic movements in the Himalayan region.
Further details regarding the magnitude and epicentre are awaited from official seismic agencies.
