IIOJK: Indian forces martyr Kashmiri youth in Doda

 

Jammu : In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), Indian forces, in their latest act of state terrorism, martyred a Kashmiri youth in Doda district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel of the Indian police’s Special Operations Group (SOG) martyred the youth, identified as Arif Hussain, after opening indiscriminate fire during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Bhaderwah area of the district.

During the operation, Indian forces subjected local residents to severe harassment, detained a religious scholar and barred journalists from entering the area.

An Indian police official claimed that three police personnel were also injured during the firing incident. However, no independent confirmation of the claim was immediately available.

Meanwhile, the occupation authorities suspended internet services across Doda district in a bid to prevent news of the killing from spreading and to suppress public protests.

Additional contingents of the Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police were deployed across Bhaderwah town, while the cordon and search operation was continuing till the filing of this report.
