Indian forces disgrace, assault women in IIOJK

Srinagar : Indian forces have disgraced, humiliated and assaulted several women during a cordon and search operation in Pulwama district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, personnel of the Indian Army’s Rashtriya Rifles and the Special Task Force (STF), of PowerGrid camp, barged into several houses during a crackdown operation in the Samboora area of Pampore in Pulwama district.
The forces, while terrorizing the inmates, have disgraced and humiliated and injured at least six women during the operation.
The forces’ personnel damaged household property and looted valuables, including cash, during the raids.
Meanwhile, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the brutal actions and state terrorism of the Indian forces.
He appealed to international human rights organizations, including the UN Human Rights Council (UNHRC), the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch (HRW), and other global bodies to raise their voices against such continued inhuman and brutal acts by Indian forces in IIOJK.
He further said that the media in occupied Kashmir is under the control of the BJP-led Indian government, the Indian Army, and intelligence agencies, and that independent reporting on human rights violations is not being allowed in the territory.
