People’s support vital for restoring lasting peace in IIOJK: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: Chief Minister of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has said that the support of the people is essential for restoring lasting peace in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar Abdullah speaking to reporters in Srinagar said forces can tackle militancy to a certain extent but its complete eradication is only possible when the people themselves stand against it.
Commenting on the demolition of houses of two Kashmiris in Islamabad district, he said such actions were contrary to the spirit of the Indian Supreme Court’s directives and should be avoided.
