Sonam Wangchuck urges Modi govt not to take action against students
New Delhi: Sonam Wangchuck, a social activist from Ladakh, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has urged the Modi government not to take legal action against the students who participated in the recent protests.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Wangchuck in a video message released on social media X asked the government to fulfill the written promises made to them and the Cockroach Janta Party. “I appeal to the government to keep to the promise that no legal action will be taken against the students participating in the protests, no FIR will be registered against them, and an atmosphere of trust will be created among the youth,” he added.
Welcoming the introduction of the Examination Amendment Bill in the Indian Parliament, he expressed hope that it will pave the way for reforms not only in the examination system but also in the entire education system.
