According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian media and officials have aggressively pushed narratives framing Pakistan as a key facilitator in alleged Chinese arms transfers to Iran, particularly amid the 2026 US-Iran conflict, but these claims lack substantiation from US intelligence or independent verification.
On July 29, 2026, Reuters reported that Iran was expected to receive 300-400 Chinese-made MANPADS (QW-12 and FN-16 shoulder-fired systems) valued at $60-70 million via a Hong Kong intermediary, with initial air deliveries from Urumqi, China, potentially transiting Pakistan. China called the reports “completely groundless” and emphasized peace efforts. Pakistan’s ISPR labelled speculations of its involvement “absolutely concocted and false.” No public US confirmation of active Pakistani facilitation or “aid” emerged; the story hinges on anonymous sources mentioning possible transit, not proven Pakistani orchestration.
