Non-local person killed, another injured in Kulgam attack

 

Srinagar: A non-local person was killed and another injured after unknown gunmen opened fire on them in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the two non-local persons were critically injured after attackers reportedly opened fire on them in the Kella area of the district on Friday evening. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Officials said one of the injured, identified as Deepak, succumbed to his injuries, while the other injured, Bhupinder, was referred to Government Medical College (GMC), Islamabad, for advanced treatment.

Following the attack, Indian forces, including the Army, CRPF, and Police, cordoned off the area and launched a door-to-door search operation to trace the attackers.
