Pakistan dismisses Amit Shah’s allegations as part of India’s ‘malicious campaign’
Unfounded Indian claims can’t divert attention from its state-sponsored terrorism: FO
Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly rejected Indian Home Minister Amit Shah’s allegations linking certain arrests in India to Pakistan, terming them “baseless” and part of New Delhi’s “malicious campaign” to divert attention from its domestic security challenges.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Foreign Office spokesperson Tahir Andrabi made the remarks after Amit Shah claimed on X that the Indian government had “destroyed” a terrorist group, arresting scores of its operatives. He alleged that the group had backing from Pakistan.
The FO said Pakistan “strongly rejects the allegations made by India’s home minister, attempting to link Pakistan with certain arrests in India”.
“Such propaganda is yet another demonstration of India’s malicious campaign against Pakistan to divert attention from its domestic security challenges and to blame Pakistan for narrow domestic political gains,” the FO statement said.
It added that at home, India was a “repressive state, brutally oppressing its minorities and silencing dissent”.
“Externally, India is exporting terror and abetting terrorists,” the FO said.
It further stated, “Unfounded Indian insinuations cannot divert international attention away from India’s state-sponsored terrorism, targeted assassinations, and subversion in foreign territories.
“Pakistan has repeatedly shared evidence of India’s involvement in terrorism and destabilising activities in Pakistan. The convicted and serving Indian naval commander, Kulbhushan Jadhav, is undeniable proof of India’s direct involvement in subversion and terrorism in Pakistan.”
The FO urged the international community to reject “baseless” Indian allegations and hold India accountable for its “state-sponsored terrorism in the region”. KMS
