Indian forces launch cordon-and-search operation in Samba
Jammu : Indian forces personnel continued an extensive cordon-and-search operation in Samba district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces, including army and paramilitary personnel, launched a large-scale search operation in the Sumb area of the district on August 25, 2026.
Indian police officials said the operation was launched in Madkoli village of Samba after the activation of an Iridium satellite communication set was detected. The operation was being conducted in areas including Madkoli, Regal and Chilayari villages.
The officials said that although Iridium satellite communication sets are also used by Indian forces, the reported foreign-origin device raised suspicion among Indian military and police agencies.
