Srinagar : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has strongly condemned the unending Indian repression in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), saying the territory continues to suffocate under an unprecedented campaign of state oppression.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement in Srinagar, said India is attempting to suppress the Kashmiri people’s voice for freedom through its bloodthirsty policies, while ordinary Kashmiris are subjected to daily cordon and search operations, raids, arrests and harassment.
He said Kashmiris are being killed, imprisoned and tortured on a daily basis, while Indian authorities are arbitrarily arresting innocent people, invoking draconian laws against them and seizing private properties and sacking Muslim employees.
The APHC said the RSS-backed Indian government is following the Israeli model of repression in IIOJK, giving Indian troops a free hand to kill and arrest innocent Kashmiris with impunity.
Minhas said Indian repression has turned IIOJK into a living hell for its residents, but the policy would only fortify Kashmiris’ determination to achieve their goal of freedom.
The APHC maintained that India cannot hide its campaign of brutal repression of Kashmiris from the international community and urged the world to take notice of the Modi regime’s draconian measures in IIOJK and hold India accountable for its human rights violations.
