Thunderstorm, landslide alert issued for next few days in IIOJK

Srinagar : An alert has been issued for heavy rain, thundershowers and lightning, along with flash floods and landslides, in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir for the next few days.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the latest alert issued by the Meteorological Department has said that there may be heavy rain with thunderstorms on September 4. Heavy rain, lightning and strong winds with a speed of 40 to 50 kmph are likely at different places during the next five days.
This forecast by the Meteorological Department has come at a time when record rainfall has already been recorded in different parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. The highest rainfall of 101.8 mm was recorded in Kathua during the last 24 hours. Apart from this, 51.8 mm of rain was recorded in Pahalgam and 50 mm in Rajouri.
Meanwhile, rain was also recorded in other areas. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of flash floods, landslides and mudslides in sensitive places during the next three days.
The Traffic Police has issued a warning of landslides and flash floods on important highways, including Mughal Road and Srinagar-Jammu Highway due to bad weather.
