Four BJP resignations plunge Kargil Hill Council into fresh crisis

Kargil: The Kargil Autonomous Hill Development Council faces a new crisis after four BJP councillors resigned, citing Ladakh’s reorganisation into five new districts and seven Hill Councils.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the resignations of Stanzin Lakpa, Padma Dorjay, Stanzin Gurmet and Namgyal Punchok reduce the 30-member House to 26, impacting Chairman Dr Mohammad Jaffar Akhoon’s majority.
