CIK, SIA conduct simultaneous raids in South Kashmir and Jammu

Srinagar: Indian agencies carried out coordinated raids at multiple locations across Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) conducted searches at several locations in Shopian and Kulgam districts of South Kashmir. CIK teams, assisted by other Indian forces and agencies, carried out the raids. Officials said further investigation is underway.
In a separate operation, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) raided five houses in the Jammu region, including four Poonch and one in Udhampur. Two of those targeted were women. An SIA statement said the searches were conducted in Mandi and Surankote areas of Poonch and Ramnagar area of Udhampur.
Those searched include Rahil Parvaiz and Mohammad Amin of Sailan, Surankote; Rashida Bi of Fazlabad, Surankote; Munawar Hussain of Dangri Challan, Mandi; and Bano of Birnoo Jandror, Ramnagar.
During the raids, mobile telephones and other material were seized and sent for forensic examination.
Raids, arrests and digital surveillance have become routine in IIOJK under the garb of counter-militancy investigations. Rights groups say such operations are routinely used to target political dissent and intimidate Kashmiri families, while thousands remain detained under draconian laws like UAPA and PSA without fair trial.
