Kashmiri freedom activist Gulzar Ahmad passes away in Muzaffarabad today
Muzaffarabad: Kashmiri freedom activist Gulzar Ahmad, also known as Ammar Yasir, passed away today in Muzaffarabad after a prolonged battle with illness. He was 67.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Gulzar Ahmad, a native of Zadibal, Srinagar, had been suffering from cancer. He migrated to Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) in 1991 due to relentless Indian oppression.
Despite his deteriorating health, Gulzar Ahmad remained steadfast in his commitment to the Kashmir cause, dedicating his life to the struggle for freedom of his motherland from Indian occupation.
His funeral prayers will be held at Markazi Imam Bargah in Muzaffarabad city after Maghrib prayers today.
