New Delhi:Panic strikes as 50 schools in Delhi receive bomb threats
New Delhi:Panic gripped India’s capital, New Delhi, after more than 50 schools received bomb threats on Tuesday morning, creating fear and chaos among students, parents and staff.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian media reports said that threatening emails were sent to several institutions, including Delhi Public School, Shri Ram World School and Modern School. Following the threats, police immediately evacuated the schools and launched search operations.
Reports said that bomb disposal squads were rushed to the sites and a thorough investigation was initiated. Students were sent back home as precautionary measures while police continued to comb the premises.
Delhi Police stated that the authenticity of the latest emails is being verified, while cybercrime units have begun tracing the origin of the messages.

It is worth mentioning that similar threats were issued to a number of schools in Delhi some time ago, but no explosives were found during searches at that time.
