Indian media propaganda on “terror threat” in Bihar exposed

Ravish Kumar asks if Modi wants to eliminate Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Indian media’s claim that three so-called terrorists entered Bihar via Nepal has collapsed after both Nepalese authorities and Bihar Police denied any such infiltration, exposing yet another attempt to stoke fear for political gains.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian outlets alleged that three Pakistani nationals had slipped into Bihar from Nepal to target political rallies. However, Nepal’s Immigration Department and Kathmandu Airport Authority confirmed that the men—Hasnain Ali, Adil Hussain, and Mohammad Usman—departed from Kathmandu on flights to Kuala Lumpur, dismissing the narrative as fabricated. Bihar Police also clarified that there is no evidence of terrorist movement across the border.

Prominent Indian journalist Ravish Kumar, reacting to the propaganda, said, “Whenever elections come close, the BJP ecosystem and its media machinery raise the ghost of terrorism as they cannot afford to detach Pakistan and terrorism from the election game.”

He went further to ask whether this so-called terror scare is actually “a new trick of Narendra Modi to eliminate Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as he is directly criticising Modi, or an attempt to frighten him into abandoning the campaign trail in Bihar for the BJP’s benefit.”

Ravish Kumar stressed that this narrative has nothing to do with security but everything to do with silencing dissent and diverting people’s attention from critical issues such as unemployment, inflation, and poor governance. He pointed out that similar ploys have been used in the past to target Rahul Gandhi whenever he steps up criticism of Modi.
