APHC-AJK organizes grand public rally at Leepa valley on Pakistan Defence Day
Muzaffarabad: A grand and enthusiastic public rally was organized in Leepa velley, Muzaffarabad, on the occasion of Defence Day of Pakistan under the auspices of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter under the leadership of Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a large number of Hurriyat leaders, leaders of political and religious parties of Azad Kashmir, people belonging to all schools of thought and students participated in the rally and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pakistan and the ghazis of the Pakistani army.
Addressing the rally, Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi said on the night of September 6, 1965, India cowardly attacked Pakistan in the darkness of night, setting a dark example in history. However, the brave and courageous sons of the Pakistani army and the Pakistani people, with unity and solidarity, crushed the evil intentions of the enemy. This day is a reminder that the forces assigned to protect the ideological and geographical borders of Pakistan are always ready to make any sacrifice, he added.
He further said the Kashmiri people stand shoulder to shoulder with their Pakistani brothers and consider the great sacrifices of the Pakistani army as their source of pride. The sacrifices of the martyrs and the eternal sacrifices of the ghazis are proof of the fact that Pakistan was founded on the ideology of Islam and this country will remain secure and permanent till the Day of Judgment, he remarked.
The Hurriyat leadership on this occasion made it clear that Kashmir and Pakistan were inseparable. The Pakistani people and the Pakistani army have supported the Kashmiri people in every era and the Kashmiri people will maintain their commitment to Pakistan till the last drop of their blood, it added.
At the end of the gathering, prayers were offered for the eternal salvation of the martyrs of Pakistan, ghazis of Pakistan and the martyrs of the Kashmir freedom movement and the resolve was reiterated that the Kashmiri people will continue their struggle at all costs.
Senior PPP leader Shaukat Javed, senior Hurriyat leader Chaudhry Shaheen Iqbal, Zahid Safi, Zahid Ashraf, Abdul Majeed Mir, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Tanzeer Iqbal and others participated in the rally.
