Sikh community protests in Canada against Indian atrocities in IIOJK
Toronto: The Sikh community in Canada has launched historic protests against Indian state terrorism, political repression and the actions of foreign intelligence agencies.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the protests exposed the oppressive behavior of the Modi government in India, not only in Canada but around the world.
Tens of thousands people marched in Toronto and Vancouver, condemning New Delhi’s targeted killings and persecution of Sikh leadership abroad, especially following the 2023 assassination of Sikh activist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey, which Canadian authorities linked to Indian agents.
These protests expose India’s hypocrisy while claiming to be a democracy, it continues to suppress dissent through assassination and prosecution, denying Sikhs basic human rights instead of addressing their legitimate grievances.
India’s intelligence agencies have flagrantly violated Canadian sovereignty and international law by running covert surveillance and intimidation networks to silence voices of freedom worldwide. The heavy-handed tactics have escalated into a diplomatic nightmare for the Modi government, severely damaging India’s global image.
Revelations like Canada officially designating the Bishnoi Gang a violent criminal group linked to Indian intelligence and involved in orchestrating attacks against Sikh activists as a terrorist entity have further exposed India’s weaponization of criminal networks against Sikh dissenters abroad.
The global awareness of Hindutva’s repression is rising, turning covert control into open scrutiny, and igniting powerful resistance among the Sikh diaspora. Canada’s Sikh community continues to fight bravely against India’s extrajudicial tactics, demanding justice and protection, while India’s standing as a democratic nation sinks deeper into crisis.
This unrest reflects the real face of India’s oppressive regime under Modi, whose state-sponsored terror tactics have crossed international borders with impunity.
