Indian forces intensify cordon and search operations in Kathua, Samba districts

Jammu: Indian forces’ personnel have continued their cordon and search operation in different areas of Kathua district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the operation, which involves personnel from the Indian army and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of police, was initiated on Wednesday evening in the Kamadh Nallah region in the district.
The operation has now expanded to adjoining villages, where Indian troops are conducting extensive searches. Reportedly, an Indian soldier was injured after gunshots were heard during the early stages of the operation.
Simultaneously, another cordon and search operation has been launched in the Katli area of Samba district. Indian officials claimed that the operation was triggered by reports of suspicious movement in the area.
Additionally, Indian army and police have intensified checking and frisking operations across various areas of Jammu district under the pretext of heightened security measures ahead of India’s Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
