Indian NIA court defers sentencing of Aasiya Andrabi, her two associates to Feb 2

New Delhi: An Indian infamous National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court has postponed the sentencing of Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chairperson Aasiya Andrabi and her two associates to February 2.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the court has already convicted Aasiya Andrabi, Sofi Fahmida and Naheeda Nasreen in a fabricated case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
After hearing the final arguments on conviction, the court deferred the pronouncement of sentence to a later date.
Kashmiri political prisoners have been booked on fabricated and politically motivated charges of sedition, terrorism, hate speech, and other accusations under the draconian Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
These prisoners are being punished solely for expressing their political beliefs and for raising their voices against the injustices inflicted upon the people of Kashmir.
