IIOJK: BSF officer killed by own vehicle in Kupwara camp
Srinagar: A Border Security Force (BSF) officer was killed after being hit by a paramilitary vehicle inside a camp in Kupwara district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), today.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the deceased has been identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector Omprakash, who was posted with the 127 Battalion of the BSF at a camp in Kupwara.
Indian officials said the incident occurred when a departmental vehicle lost control within the camp premises and accidentally hit the officer while he was performing his duties.
The injured officer was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital Kupwara, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Officials said that a detailed investigation into the incident is underway.
