Afghanistan’s soil being used for terrorist activities in Pakistan: Ex-Indian army officer
New Delhi: After the statements of a former Indian army officer came to light, a new debate has started regarding alleged Indian conspiracies against Pakistan.
According to Kashmir Media Service, retired Indian Army Colonel Rajesh Power has said that Afghanistan’s soil is being used for terrorist activities in Pakistan, where various extremist groups are active.
According to Indian media, Rajesh Power said India is providing financial support to these groups, while Israel is providing weapons and intelligence support. He said the main target of these activities is Pakistan.
According to retired Colonel Rajesh Power, the interests of these countries are inter-connected and their common goal is to weaken Pakistan in the region. He said Israel sees Pakistan as a major rival due to its nuclear programme and anti-Israel stance.
On the other hand, some analysts say that such statements support Pakistan’s position that the country has been facing a proxy war for a long time, but the importance of independent verification and evidence in this regard also remains.
According to experts, if such allegations are proven true, it could be a major challenge not only to Pakistan but also to the peace and stability of the entire region. KMS—15A
