Congress sounds alarm over rising public distress in IIOJK

Jammu: Congress Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir chapter has expressed deep concern over the growing public discontent in the territory, citing “systemic failure” and “policy paralysis” in addressing pressing needs.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Congress IIOJK working president Raman Bhalla during mass contact programme in in Jammu noticed widespread grievances, with unemployed youth, distressed farmers, daily wagers, and women frontline workers narrating their struggles.

He highlighted unemployment as the most pressing crisis, with youth facing an uncertain future due to the absence of a coherent employment policy.

“The neglect of existing industrial units and absence of new industrial initiatives have compounded the problem, pushing educated youth towards frustration and despair,” Bhalla said, emphasizing that employment generation must be a top priority.

Bhalla also raised concern over the plight of families affected by recent natural calamities, noting that many victims are still waiting for compensation. He urged the administration to address these issues and work towards the welfare of the people.
