Kashmiris being punished for voting for National Conference: Omar Abdullah

Srinagar: Chief Minister of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah has said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has admitted that Kashmiris are being punished for voting for the National Conference.
According to Kashmir Media Service, BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Sunil Sharma had said that as long as Omar Abdullah is the Chief Minister, statehood cannot be restored.
Omar Abdullah, in a statement on X, said the BJP itself has admitted that the people of Jammu and Kashmir will not be given statehood because they voted for the National Conference. He said after a big rally in Nowshera a few days ago, the truth has finally come out from the panicked BJP. He said this is the reality of their big promises and claims.
Sunil Sharma, while talking to reporters in Srinagar, said, “I wonder why statehood should be restored when Omar Abdullah, who is from Sheikh Abdullah’s family, is the Chief Minister. As long as a member of Sheikh Abdullah’s family is the Chief Minister, statehood cannot be restored.”
