Passengers face severe hardships on Srinagar-Jammu highway due to Amarnath Yatra

Jammu : As soon as the Amarnath Yatra begins in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ordinary passengers are facing severe hardships due to traffic restrictions imposed on the Srinagar-Jammu highway.
According to Kashmir Media Service, passengers expressed their displeasure over the poor arrangements and said that despite the Yatra convoy passing through, vehicles were stopped for several hours beyond Udhampur, which made the journey extremely painful.
There has been chaos on the only land route connecting the Kashmir Valley to the rest of the world for the last two days as no vehicle is being allowed to proceed beyond Udhampur till 1 pm, although the last vehicle of the Yatra convoy passes there at around 11:30 am.
The Amarnath Yatra began yesterday. The situation is no different in Nagrota, a suburb of Jammu. Hundreds of vehicles are being stopped and are not being allowed to move towards Udhampur, Katra, Reasi and even the rural areas of Jammu district.
This ban remains in place until the yatra convoy passes beyond Udhampur. The most difficult situation is faced by government and private employees and many employees have to return home.
