CJP founder remarks on Umar Khalid unnerve Godi media

New Delhi,: A controversy has erupted in India after Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke invoked the case of jailed student activist during an anti-government protest in New Delhi.
According to Kashmir Media Service, while addressing protesters at Jantar Mantar, Dipke said that had he been “Umar Khalid or a Muslim,” he would have been jailed by now, alleging discriminatory treatment of dissent under the BJP-led government.
Khalid has remained in jail for several years without trial in connection with the 2020 Delhi riots case.
Dipke’s remarks unnerved Godi media, pro-government television channels and social media commentators, backed by Modi regime.
They accused the CJP of politicising student protests over irregularities in NEET, NTA and SSC examination paper leaks.
The protests, demanding the resignation of Indian Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, have also received support from environmental activist , CPI(M) leaders and , and actor .
Dipke also alleged heavy police deployment at the protest site, claiming that supporters were prevented from entering the venue, while tensions between protesters and sections of the media have intensified.
