Indian Army Agniveer commits suicide in Rajouri
Jammu: An Indian Army Agniveer has committed suicide in Rajouri district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Agniveer, identified as Shankar, a resident of Shodi village in Haryana, was deployed with the 3 Rajputana Rifles. He allegedly shot himself with his service weapon at Tarkundi in the Manjakote area of Rajouri district.
Following the incident, the body was shifted to Government Medical College (GMC), Rajouri, where a postmortem examination was conducted in accordance with legal and procedural formalities.
Police have taken cognizance of the matter, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident. K
