APHC-AJK delegation holds detailed meeting with Pakistan Sunni Tehreek in Karachi

Karachi: A delegation of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, visited the office of the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek in Karachi and held a detailed meeting with the organization’s central coordinator Sarwat Ijaz Qadri.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during the meeting, the latest situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ongoing Indian atrocities in the territory, serious human rights violations, illegal arrests of Hurriyat leadership and others, Indian policy of changing the population ratio and the need to resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions were discussed in detail.
Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi on the occasion said the Kashmiri people have been making unprecedented sacrifices for the right to self-determination and India has failed to suppress their spirit of freedom despite its tactics of oppression and coercion, forced arrests and serious human rights violations.
He said Pakistan has always been providing strong moral, political and diplomatic support to the people of Kashmiri for which they are grateful. He invited the leadership of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek to participate in the Kashmir Solidarity Rally to be held from Arts Council, Karachi, to Karachi Press Club on the occasion of the tenth martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani on July 8.
On this occasion, Sarwat Ijaz Qadri said Pakistan Sunni Tehreek fully supports the legitimate and just struggle of the Kashmiri people for freedom. He said Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and the entire Pakistani nation is united to give the Kashmiri people their fundamental right to self-determination.
He said Pakistan Sunni Tehreek will participate fully in the Kashmir Solidarity Rally on July 8 and will also instruct its workers to take part in it.
The APHC-AJK delegation included Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Zahid Safi, Sheikh Abdul Majid and Imtiaz Wani, while Sarwat Ijaz Qadri, the central coordinator of the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, Tayyab Hussain Qadri, Khalid Zia, Jawad Qadri and other central officials also attended the meeting.
Meanwhile, the APHC-AJK delegation also met with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Sindh, President Bashir Ahmed Memon and thoroughly discussed the latest situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The delegation stressed that the international community should take immediate notice of the serious human rights violations in the occupied territory and that the Kashmiri people should be given the right to decide their future in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
The delegation invited Bashir Memon to participate in the rally to be held in Karachi on July 8.
Bashir Memon, while paying tribute to the sacrifices and freedom struggle of the Kashmiri people, said the people of Pakistan have always stood with their Kashmiri brothers.
He said the Kashmir dispute is the key to lasting peace in South Asia and it should be resolved in accordance with the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
He accepted the invitation to participate in the Kashmir rally on July 8 and said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Sindh, will fully represent Pakistan in this important programme.
Apart from Bashir Ahmed Memon, Zahid Shamim Khan, Muhammad Naeem Khan, Khushal Ahmed Butt and others from PML-N, Sindh, were also present on the occasion.
