Cloudburst damages Bijbehara road, disrupts power and water supply
Srinagar : A cloudburst damaged the Pahalgam-Avoora-Bijbehara road in Islamabad district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, disrupting traffic and snapping electricity and drinking water supply in the area.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the cloudburst caused extensive damage to a stretch of the road, affecting connectivity and essential services in the area.
As a precautionary measure, tourists were shifted to safer locations.
There were no immediate reports of any casualties. Power and drinking water supply were affected in the aftermath of the cloudburst.
Local residents urged the administration to expedite restoration of the damaged road and resume electricity and drinking water supply at the earliest to minimise inconvenience to residents and tourists.
