Agra man arrested for calling CM Yogi ‘takla’

Agra: A resident of Agra, Rafiq Khan, was arrested by Uttar Pradesh Police after he posted a video highlighting potholes in his locality and made remarks against Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Khan had shared a video showing massive potholes in his area, in which he was heard saying, “UP ka mukhyamantri takla! Yeh hai vikas!” Takla in Hindi refers to a bald man.

The video drew attention online and was reported, following which Agra Police arrested him for allegedly making remarks against the Chief Minister.

On Sunday, a fresh video surfaced showing Khan coming out of the lockup with folded hands.

Agra Police confirmed the arrest on its official X account, stating action was taken over the content.
