Situation in Indian state of Manipur tense again, Indian forces, protesters face to face

Imphal: The situation in the troubled Indian state of Manipur is deteriorating day by day due to the failed and flawed policies of the Modi government.
According to Kashmir Media Service, a report in the Indian newspaper “The New Indian Express” said that after a search operation in the state’s Senapati district, an angry mob attacked the Assam Rifles camp, in which several vehicles were set on fire.
The protesters pelted stones at the Assam Rifles building, vandalized the premises and set three vehicles on fire.
According to officials, Indian forces fired teargas shells to disperse the crowd.
According to the Indian newspaper “The Economic Times”, this is the third attack on the Assam Rifles in the last ten days, which shows the seriousness of the situation in the state.
The international human rights organization, Amnesty International, has said that the Modi government has completely failed to protect human rights and stop violence in Manipur.
The organization says that the increasing attacks on Indian forces reflect the public’s disgust and complete distrust of the security institutions.
It should be noted that incidents of ethnic tension and violence have been ongoing in Manipur for a long time, due to which several hundred people have been killed and thousands have been displaced.
According to local sources, internet service has been suspended in the area and the army has been deployed.
