Authorities demolish, seize several houses in Jammu

Jammu: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities demolished and seized several houses in Jammu district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the district administration and police jointly launched the demolition drive in Tawi and Bishna areas.
Officials said that during the operation, properties worth over Rs 3 crore, built with illegally obtained income, were demolished.
They said a joint team demolished a two-storey house worth about Rs 1.5 crore in Ismailpur Kothi area of Tehsil Bashna.
Another joint team demolished two more houses worth about Rs 1.3 crore built on government land in Tawi area.
In another operation in the Upper Balole area of Bari Brahmana in Samba district, police seized property worth about Rs 2.1 million, including a kacha house.
A police spokesperson said the seizure was made under the Narcotics Control Act (NDPS).
The Indian occupation authorities intensified the eviction of Kashmiris from their lands and properties after the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019 to change the population ratio in the area.
