Kulgam attack: Another non-local person succumbs to injuries, death toll rises to two

Srinagar: Another non-local person critically wounded in an attack in Kulgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has succumbed to his injuries, raising the death toll to two.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two non-local persons were critically injured after unidentified gunmen opened fire on them in the Kelam area of Kulgam on Friday evening. One of the injured, identified as Deepak Ratray, died before he could be shifted to a hospital.

The second injured, identified as Bopinder, was initially taken to the Government Medical College (GMC) hospital in Islamabad district and later referred to Soura hospital in Srinagar, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment, officials said.

Following the incident, Indian forces, including the Army, CRPF, and police personnel, cordoned off the area and launched a massive search operation to trace the attackers.
