18 houses damaged due to land sinking in Poonch’s Mendhar
Srinagar: Eighteen houses were damaged due to land sinking in Ari Sarhotti village of Mendhar area in Poonch district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, officials said that as a precautionary measure, around 100 people from the affected houses were shifted to safer places.
Tehsildar Mendhar, Rahul Basotra, confirmed the damage and said that revenue and other concerned teams are on the ground.
Further assessment of losses is underway, he added.
