Thousands throng Sopore for Urs of Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib (RA)
Srinagar: Thousands of devotees from different parts of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir gathered at Peth Astaan, Tujar Sharief in Sopore to observe the 548th Urs-e-Pak of Mehboob-ul-Aalam Hazrat Makhdoom Sahib (RA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the 13-day religious observance began on 13 Safar-ul-Muzaffar and will continue till 25 Safar-ul-Muzaffar. During the period, devotees visit the revered Ziyarat Sharief to offer prayers, pay obeisance and seek blessings. On the occasion, several sacred Tabarukaat were displayed before the devotees, including the Holy Quran, Kamar Band Sharief, Qulah-e-Mubarak, Tasbeeh Dana and Kanga Sharief.
The display drew large numbers of devotees who observed the Urs with reverence and devotion.
Moulvi Peer Ghulam Nabi Shuloora of Kupwara participated in the religious proceedings and appreciated the arrangements made by the authorities and the Awqaaf Committee for the devotees.The congregation concluded peacefully.
