‘We are Gen Z, won’t tolerate this nonsense’: Indian tourist confronts Army over road blockade in IIOJK
‘They now lock up tourists like they lock up Kashmiris’: Woman tourist lashes out at Indian forces in viral video
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, a video has surfaced showing an Indian tourist angrily confronting Indian Army personnel over the closure of a road after her group was stopped for hours in the Drass area of Ladakh’s Kargil district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the woman was reportedly stopped near the Minimarg check post in Drass on July 25 due to travel restrictions on the Minimarg-Zoji La-Sonamarg road.
In the video, which has now gone viral, she can be seen standing near a barricaded road and aggressively confronting Indian forces over why tourists were being stopped.
At one point, she objects to the so-called security restrictions by saying that the forces were now “locking up tourists” in the same way they “lock up Kashmiris”.
“We are Gen Z. We won’t tolerate this nonsense,” she says, objecting to being stopped despite having paid to travel to the territory.
“We come here after paying to travel, not to tolerate all this. They do this with Kashmiris and have now started behaving like this with other tourists also),” she says.
The video also shows other tourists gathered near the barricade as the woman continues to question the Indian forces.
The incident has drawn attention to the heavy-handed security restrictions and travel curbs imposed by occupation authorities in IIOJK, which the Kashmiris have been enduring for decades. KMS-23S
