Massive protests in Kishtwar over rape, murder of minor girl
Jammu : Massive protests erupted in Chatroo, Kishtwar district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, following Friday prayers over sexual assault and murder of a minor local girl.
According to Kashmir Media Service, local residents, community leaders, and students took to the streets demanding immediate arrest and exemplary capital punishment for the culprit.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case and arrested two persons, including a government school headmaster and his brother, in connection with the death of a minor girl under suspicious circumstances in the Chatroo area of Kishtwar district.
The incident has triggered widespread condemnation and mass protests in the area. Protests have reportedly continued since overnight, with people taking to the streets to condemn the sexual assault of the minor and the circumstances surrounding her death.
