BJP march allowed, NC protest met with force: Omar Abdullah
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, puppet Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has lamented that the Lt. Governor’s administration is applying “different standards” to protests, stating that BJP workers are facilitated while National Conference demonstrators are subjected to police force.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Omar was speaking to reporters in Srinagar.
NC protest in Srinagar for statehood restoration, constitutional guarantees
You saw how the BJP was allowed to protest, but the NC was not. One side was facilitated, the other was brutally repressed,” Omar said, adding that several of his party colleagues were dragged and injured during the police action.
Rejecting BJP Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma’s demand for his resignation, Omar said his government had a five-year mandate from the people.
