Agha Moosvi highlights ‘peaceful engagement’ quality of Prof. Butt

Srinagar: Senior APHC leader and President of Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi Al-Safvi, paid rich tribute to renowned scholar, educationist and senior political figure Prof. Abdul Ghani Butt on his first death anniversary.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in a statement, Agha Syed Hassan described Prof. Butt as a distinguished intellectual, a dedicated teacher and a farsighted leader whose contributions continue to hold significance. He said Prof. Butt was a learned, principled and thoughtful personality who devoted his life to education, intellectual discourse, dialogue and mutual understanding.
Even during challenging times, he consistently upheld the values of patience, dignity, reason and peaceful engagement. The Anjuman president said his association with Prof. Butt spanned several decades, providing him an opportunity to closely observe a personality distinguished by intellectual depth, political wisdom, patience and broad-mindedness. His conversations reflected seriousness, his thinking was marked by clarity and depth, and his conduct was characterized by dignity and civility.
Agha Syed Hassan said Prof. Abdul Ghani Butt’s first death anniversary is an occasion to remember not only his life but also his enduring intellectual and academic legacy. His ideas, services and balanced approach, he said, will continue to inspire and guide future generations. He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and give patience and strength to the bereaved family.
