Hindutva mob kills two Muslims, injures three in West Bengal

Kolkata: Two Muslims were lynched to death and three others were injured by a Hindutva mob in Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled West Bengal state.
Two Muslim men were killed and three others injured after a Hindutva mob attacked five people near Tarabari village, close to the Balason River in the Matigara-Bagdogra area of Darjeeling district.
The victims were identified as Shahid Akhtar and Sajjad Mohammad, while Amir Sattar, Akram Khan and Arif Khan were injured in the attack.
According to police and local residents, the men were travelling in a pickup van and a car when villagers became suspicious of their presence near the Matigara-Bagdogra border.
Police said the mob assaulted them, set their pickup van on fire and extensively damaged their car.
