Srinagar: Indian troops are engaged in intensified crackdown operations and raids in occupied Jammu and Kashmir, drawing widespread condemnation, both at local and international levels.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops and agencies personnel have are conducting widespread crackdown operations and raids across the occupied territory. Residents have described a climate of fear and intimidation, with arbitrary arrests, property confiscations, and instances of brutalization becoming a routine affair.
The latest wave of crackdowns has targeted various segments of Kashmiri society, including leaders and activists associated with the Jamaat-e-Islami and Hurriyat organizations. The notorious National Investigation Agency (NIA) has been leading fresh crackdowns, further exacerbating tensions in the already militarized territory.
“The Modi regime’s intensified crackdown operations are clear evidence of its frustration in subduing Kashmiris,” remarked a local activist, speaking on condition of anonymity due to security concerns. “But no amount of repression can extinguish the flame of freedom burning in the hearts of the Kashmiri people.”
The situation in IIOJK has prompted calls for urgent international intervention, with human rights organizations and political leaders urging the global community to address India’s flagrant violations of international laws and norms in the territory.
